The Floozies Houston Concert reviews
Based on my standard, The Floozies could receive a 4 star rating (the 'recommended' rating from the guide) for their technical performance and quality. He didn't need to do anything but show up, strum and sing, sounding nearly the same as he did back in the late 60's.
What truly made his show 'amazing' was his disposition. The Floozies responded to an audience member's declaration of 'I love you' with 'I love you too. I can't explain it, but I love you too.' This sentiment was evident in his interactions with the audience, pausing between songs to share the background of the song, from stories of him and his father to being signed up with Apple Records after an interview with Paul McCartney and George Harrison. During the 20 minute intermission, he sat on the edge of the stage, shaking hands, taking pictures, and signing memorabilia, which he said he typically doesn't do.
At the conclusion of the show, The Floozies and the band returned for an encore, playing three songs. As they prepared to leave, The Floozies motioned for 'one more,' prompting the venue staff to allow an additional song. His actions exuded class and style in performance, leaving me with the utmost respect for the man behind the music.
